  3. CortexStarterApp with empty data inventory

Installation on macOS

After downloading and opening the app in the corresponding folder, drag and drop the icon of the downloaded program into the applications folder. In your finder, you will find the folder Cortex-IP-StarterApp under applications. Alternatively, you can also find and start the app via launchpad or spotlight search.

Installation on Microsoft Windows

The Microsoft Windows operating system requires that software downloaded from websites meets Microsoft’s requirements. If this is not possible for beta and test versions, the following manual adjustments are required.

Cortex AG offers the possibility to download compressed package files (zip files) from this download page. These zip files are assigned a quarantine mark by the Microsoft Windows operating system, which you must remove after downloading. Only then can you execute the files contained in the zip file.

To change the mark, follow these steps:

  1. Open the file dialog with a right-click the zip file
  2. Click on properties - the file properties window opens.
  3. In the first tab general, at the bottom, you will see the security section with a note indicating that the file is from another computer
  4. Check the box unblock
  5. Confirm with the OK button
  6. Unzip the zip file into a working directory

The unpacked directory contains the executable file cip-se-starter (cip-se-starter.exe). A double-click opens the application, where you can launch a browser window with the Uniplex application by clicking the button Start Uniplex Web Application.
